Okay first off all animals are living breathing beings that have emotions and can feel pain just like we humans do. Therefore, no one should abuse an animal, period. Even children need to learn that. Unfortunately, many people don't care because they view the animal as an object not as a living being. If you purposely hurt an animal just for fun you should go to jail and do many, many hours of community service. And what about children that hurt animals? First off their parents should take a stand and punish them by taking away certain privileges (not watching TV, no video games, etc.). Then those same children should go do community service, which relates to animals. For instance going to the local zoo and cleaning up the monkey cages (with the proper supervision from a staff member of the zoo). Or if there is a farm that's nearer, make the child go to the farm and have them help out the farmer with the animals. After doing this community service the child would learn his/her lesson that an animal is not a toy or an object.

Why do laboratories need to use animals to conduct experiments? Don't those scientists have a heart? Can't they see how much the animals in those experiments are suffering? Have those scientists heard of something called a computer? In this day and age a computer can almost do anything and even give better results then an experiment. So why are there still animal conducted experiments? Probably because the company funding the experiment is cheap and doesn't want to invest the money in computers. Maybe those investors should go into the labs where the experiments are preformed and see what kind of pain all those animals are going through. How would they like if they were starved or had nail polish put into their eyes? I'm sure they'd hire a lawyer and sue if someone tried to do that to them. Unfortunately, the animals can't do that and so they suffer in silence, in those horrid laboratories.

If you know or see someone abusing an animal go and stop them! If you don't, you are just as guilty as those who hurt the animals! You have to be their voice and their protector!
